I know she is young but she fully understands I am pregnant and she knows when she acts like a jealous baby instead of a big girl it ticks me off. She hasn't been here ten minutes and she has thrown two tantrums for God knows why. When my mom comes in to check on me since I'm on bed rest she fakes cries.

Her mom is an attention seeker too but I need my niece to realize the baby will be here soon and her attitude has to change. When I try to discipline her she doesn't listen because I'm not a mom yet.. I feel bad. I really want her to know her cousin but if she is still acting like this I don't think I want her around him.. Newest First. My niece is 4 and a complete and total brat, too. I love them. The other 2 however are a different story.

Other sil has spoiled them rotten and the kids are ungrateful and selfish. Her youngest son is 5 and had a bad ear infection when he was a baby which caused him to go deaf for a few months and has affected his speech. We cant understand him half the time and therefore he's in a special school where he's taught sign language. Well because of this sil has spoiled him even more. On christmas day, he and his 3 year old cousin were running in our apt. I pulled the 3 yo aside and told her loud enough for both to hear that there are people living under us and they will get mad because of all the noise.

Respectful 3yo niece said ok and stopped running. However, my nephew then starts jumping up and down as hard as he can to make noise. I told him to stop and all he would do was smile and do it even more. At this point I wanted to tell dh or sil who were in the living room but sil is very defensive of her kids and will make a scene and get on to me for saying anything about her kid.

Plus the times dh has said something about nephews behavior she laughs and says "you know my son is stubborn. Arent you baby? Shes an unnapreciative spoiled 14yo. She was mad about her christmas presents she received from her dads family. I was shocked that someone could be so selfish. Especially when her 15yo cousin whose bday we were celebrating had barely gotten anything because her mom doesn't have a job and her dad isnt in her life.

Sil just laughed and said how spoiled her daughter is. Idk if its these hormones but I'm getting to the point where i cant be around my sil or her kids. Ive tried to talk to dh about it but he says theres nothing we can do but make sure this lo isnt like that. Anyone have any advice on how I can deal with them? We see them almost every weekend. Original poster's comments 4. Oh Hell to the no! That would drive me absolutely crazy too I can't stand kids with no respect and don't appreciate anything.

Especially when their parents see how they are and just laugh it off. I would be totally embarrassed if I was their mom.
